Bayza Weeks was pregnant with her son Darryl Atkis Jr when she was only a freshman at DeLaSalle Catholic High School in Minneapolis. She was afraid she would have to drop out of school and have an abortion, but her school believed in her. DeLaSalle believes in life and education, so Bayza made it and graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1998. After High School, she went to school to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees while raising Darryl and being a surrogate to five others. Now her son is a 6 foot 1 inch freshman attending DeLaSalle and Bayza Weeks is now the dean at DeLaSalle High School.
